Superstition - Another Social Dilemma

It can be explained that superstition has been a major issue in India, which refers to any belief in  supernatural casualty like one incident causes another without  any  natural process connecting to the second one.It is so common that people still belief that while waking up in the morning if you see oil it will affect your entire day as bad one. It has been noticed that it is genetic as, if an individual grow-up in a family where people are superstitious, then it will definitely affect that individual’s mindset and same thinking process will be theirs as well.

There is a symbolic relation between religious belief and superstition belief Social and economic status of people plays a crucial role in the tendency to superstition so that people with low social and economic status have more tendencies to superstition.
Superstition has given birth to different social issues like sati practice, Lack of girl’s education, Gender inequality at work, dowry system, and female feticide & so on. It takes so much of efforts to make people belief that being superstition, makes things difficult as well as complicated as people have  prior mindset and they are unable to see the other side of any incident.
People need to change their mindset so that society can change and we all can make our country a place where true facts has been considered instead of false beliefs which only effects our country in a wrong way.
Robert Ingersoll well explained superstitions as, believing to phenomenon that there is no experimental evidence for them, estimating a mystery by another mystery; Believing that the world is directed by chance; offering the thoughts, desires and intentions with reference to their original nature; Belief in the supernatural, miracle, magic and divination. According to him, superstition is based on ignorance and its infrastructure and origin are false hopes.

An amazing experience with the city Mumbai

Mumbai can be a pretty amazing city. The people, the sea and the spirit of the city has the ability to en-capture your soul for the rest of your life. My perception about the city changed after I took up a Summer Internship in Mumbai. Before I visited the city, I thought that Mumbai is a congested city with a hell lot of people and narrow lanes, but my perception about the city transformed once I started with my internship in the city. Mumbai is more than just the congestion and the population.  The untiring spirit and the nature of the people make the city, a fascinating place to live.

Individuals from diverse academic backgrounds can find an internship in the city. Mumbai has enterprises belonging to almost all of the work fields. The city has people from all over the country, who work diligently to make a name for themselves. This aspect of Mumbai made me realize that the city has something to offer for everyone. Through the tenure of my Summer Internship in Mumbai, I came across many fascinating aspects of this city. And after finishing my internship with the company, I can say that my stay in Mumbai helped me immensely. It helped me to evolve as a person. The struggle I had to face to survive in the city in terms of accommodation, travel and other aspects made me into a more disciplined, professional and confident person.
One more aspect of the city is that every individual living in Mumbai would agree with, the amazing places that the city has to offer to unwind. After a long and strenuous day at the office, a place to unwind and relax is the best thing to happen. Since Mumbai is also the financial capital of India, therefore, many big shots of the corporate world have made the city as their home. This provides interns like me to interact with eminent personalities from the business world, to learn about professional world and to experience the same. The fast paced life of the city and the professional attitude of the working class inspired me immensely to work more diligently towards my goal. People from all over the country come to the city with dreams in their eyes and many of them make a fortune in Mumbai. Before I came here, I used to think that what the reason is for Mumbai being called as the ‘City of Dreams’. But after my Summer Internship in Mumbai, I have got all my answers.

Polish Your Skills Before Entering Into A Job

After I completed my graduation, I applied in many companies for a job. I was confused as I was a complete fresher and I did not know anything about the job world. As a fresher, I was aiming for making enough money for my survival. After getting in a job, I realised  that it was not that easy at all. I needed to polish my skills before taking such responsibilities. Doing an internship before a job is a requirement. You should be clear about the work you want to do. There are various Paid Internships in India that hire graduates as well as under graduates.

All the freedom you gained when you left home for college, may cause your motivation and work ethic to slip. Doing an internship before a job routine may help you to get into that schedule. It's a myth that anyone can be an intern, which is actually not true. You need to posses the basic knowledge about your academic stream, only then you can apply for an internship. Different companies have different critirea for hiring interns, some offer paid and some non paid internships. Students who are under graduates can join summer internships for acquiring an experience in their interested field of work. Taking up an internship before a job can actually be more than benificial than just a mere expirence. You can make your professional network strong by making useful contacts. You can apply for internships in the online mode also, you can google for internships by seaching the keyword Paid internships in India. From there you can apply in different companies working in your stream of work.

Apart from all this, there is one more thing which can be benificial for you is that a more than expected performance and completing more than what is required to do in an internship, will help  you to create a great impression that will help you to earn a great reference letter for the future. When you leave an organisation at the end of the internship, you should ask for the recommendation letter that you can keep on file for the future reference. Paid internships in India generally offer an internship letter in the end.

I went to Mumbai to pursue an internship and it proved to be a really nice experience. You can find opportunities lurking at every corner and I too got ample chances to revive myself. And I learnt quite a lot. After the boost and experience that I had, it is my personal suggestion to everyone out there looking for an internship, to take up their Internship in Mumbai. Your aspirations, dreams and the urge to achieve something big will attain a whole new level.

But the real question is, why only Mumbai? The thing that makes the city unique are its people. The lives of the people there is fast and hectic. From morning till the night, the city rolls with working men and women. Believe me, it is truly inspiring to see the crazy crowd on the roads and in local trains, prepared for a full day of hard work in the office. People there are versatile, hard working and cooperative. They know to how survive under all circumstances and possess a never say die spirit. The hustle bustle, the beautiful beaches and the incomparable night life act as fuel for your dreams. My Internship in Mumbai, brought me face to face with these amazing aspects of the city.

According to me, working in Mumbai would be the best option. It would be an enriching affair. You wouldn't be able to help yourself but to fall in love with the city. My Internship in Mumbai was for a brief period of time and I pursued it to gain an understanding about the working of an organisation and had an experience that left an incredible mark on my personality. The role of the organisation in this aspect was significant, but what I learnt in this short period of time, is that a city also has much to add to your individuality. Mumbai has a warm heart and makes space for everyone. The sense of affection you will generate for the city will be unmatched, even if you stay there for a few months. The city will leave a significant impression and influence on your life.

How I prepared for my first job with an Internship

I had just finished off with my second year of graduation, when my elder brother told me to buckle up for a job. It is because, I have always been that kind of a person, who wants to have fun and completes his assignments just one night before the submission. In short, I have never been the sincere type and the thought of sincerity and responsibilities scared me. But, when I gave a thought to what my brother had said earlier, I got coupled further into a series of thoughts, which made me realise that now was the time to take up a few responsibilities. Hence, I asked my brother to help me with the same and he suggested me to apply for internship programs to prepare myself and also to know my worth and where I stand. He briefed me about various advantages of an internship and then I realised why some juniors in our college were doing internships.

Since I had college to attend, I couldn’t do a regular internship. Therefore, I decided to apply for a summer internship. I browsed through various websites and had gone through with the internship program’s information of over thousands of companies. By the time the summer break arrived, I had given over ten interviews. It was a good feeling to be shortlisted in three out of ten interview sessions. My interviews scared me. It was as if I was being evaluated even by the way I was breathing. Finally my summer internship started and the office felt as if my mother has swept it nice and clean. The moment I entered it felt completely different and one could sense responsibility and pressure amongst the co-workers.

Though the duration of my internship was of one month, it felt like years. But I constantly made myself stronger, fighting against all odds. It made me into a better person, into one who could take up every challenge. It helped me grew into a man and I was not just some irresponsible youngster, instead a young man who was worth to give a chance. After the graduation was over, I was able to grab a job through the placement cell of our college. I would suggest every graduation student to consider internships or even a summer internship, because there is so much to learn from the industry and mentors that would prepare you for a better future, just like it did to me.

Clear the Misconceptions That You Have About Internships

The words ‘internships’ and ‘interns’ have suddenly grabbed a lot of attention amongst the youngsters. The attention has developed mainly amongst those who are currently in the college or are about to enter the college phase. Most of you have definitely heard about these terms and many of you might be thinking of applying for internships. Earlier only summer internship was popular as a ‘thing’ amongst the youngsters and on the college notice boards.   But with the passage of time, now even virtual internships and work from home internships are becoming the most preferred choices for internships. There were several misconceptions in the minds for internships and the evolution has proved them all wrong. Few misconceptions have been listed below, which you will find baseless once you have completed with your internship. You would realise that internships are fun and in fact, they are a one of its kind experience.

Internship is all about work
The ‘about work’ part of this sentence is true. It is also worth noting that internship is more than just work. Yes, you need to work hard and keep up to the expectations of the mentors and co workers. But it is actually fun when you all go out for lunch and join in for a co-workers birthday or farewell. You would realise that some of your mentors and co workers have a better sense of humour than you.

You have to give up your whole summer
Most of the students do not look for summer internship because they don’t want to ruin their summer vacations. It might just prove you wrong and in fact you can have the best of both, your vacations as well as internships, in just two months. You can apply for internships, which have duration of one or two weeks. Not all companies offer a complete two months summer internship program. You can even apply for work from home internship to avoid early morning alarms.

You get a burden of college plus office work load

It is important to note that as an intern, there might be a few things that you need to keep a check on, as it is a part of your responsibility. Unlike college, you don’t get home work or assignments during your internship. It is all about the instances at work, which help you to learn. Small things add up to your skill set, like making mental notes instead of on a notebook.

Enhance Your Resume with Internship Programs

An extended resume is always a plus point for job seekers and especially for the fresher’s, who have just finished their graduation. Resume is something that indirectly and silently defines the capability of the candidate and his personality. Therefore it is better that university students and even those students, who have just started with their graduation, form a layout of their preparations for extending the resume up to two or more pages. You won’t need to make any high end compromises with your freedom and skip the college fun and parties, you only need to take out one or two weeks from your vacations or you can work from home.

There are several websites that have information of over hundreds of companies, offering internship programs. Either you can look for a summer internship only for your summer break or you can join a virtual internship. You can extend your search amongst the websites and apply for the one that suits your profile. If you get lucky, you may even find a company, offering a stipend to their interns. Well, the candidates who are selected for the internship program after an interview or two are titled as interns. And being an intern is not an easy task, you have to take up certain responsibilities and you also have expectations to deliver.

It is easy to understand that how difficult it is for a youngster to give up vacations, may be that is the reason why few companies organise these summer Internship programs for a span of two or three weeks. Even though the duration of the internship is short, you will get to learn some little-known and significant aspects of your industry. If you join at least two internship programs during  your college vacations, you will have an experience and exposure of working in different work places and conditions. And also, you will develop a confidence to sit for your placement interview or your first job interview.

By the time you have completed your graduation, your resume will have an important section of work experience and about two to three summer internship certificates that will raise the weight of your resume. Make sure that you mention every detail of your internship and your personal experience as well. So go ahead, open your laptops and start the search for internships. And remember, it requires dedication and hard work. As they say, nothing comes easy.
